Modern printing technology and special colours for optimum print products

We always print all folded boxes using the CMYK four-colour process. This technique enables maximum flexibility in colour reproduction and is suitable for printing both photos and lettering. To improve the visual effect of your folded boxes, we recommend broadening your colour scheme to include special colours like Pantone, which will then give you a wide range of special colours to choose from. You’ll also achieve stylish visual effects by using gold or silver for lettering. The more you personalise your folded boxes, the better your gifts will be viewed by the recipients, and the higher-class they will look even before they have been opened.

The GC1 or GC2 chromo board we use provides the necessary stability for your folding boxes. Small runs can be printed on 280 gsm GC2 and 325 gsm GC1 chromo board. For large runs, we print on 250-400 gsm GC2 chromo board. Double-coated on one side, the cardboard is particularly rigid, and enables great volume, allowing your products to be perfectly packaged, and also protected from dust and dirt.

As soon as we have printed your folded boxes, they are punched, creased flat and glued. For space-saving reasons, we deliver all boxes unfolded. When you want to use the boxes, simply set them upright. The instant base will automatically assemble itself, and your packaging is ready.

Depending on the number of pieces and the selected grammage, you can choose between two finishes. For example, we can laminate the exterior, giving the boxes a smooth surface if you select the glossy option. Create a pleasant feel with soft-touch lamination, while the matte refinement makes the boxes scratch-proof.

You can also combine the glossy lamination with UV spot varnish. Opting for the matte or soft-touch finish will refine one side with this option, and the other with UV spot varnish. Previewing your printed folded boxes: Screenproof

You can order a screenproof of your folded boxes in the configuration menu. A screenproof is a digital preview of your print product, which we store in your customer account as an image file. You can then view the result on your screen in a resolution of 150 dpi. If you’re happy with it, you can start the printing order directly online via the customer account. If not, you can modify or cancel it.

We can only create screenproofs for unrefined folded boxes. Please also note that screenproofs are not true-colour, and their colours may differ from the final printed product. Only one screenproof may be created for each order. This makes order processing easier both for you and us.
